Lionel C. Whitehead, also known as "boss hog" is presently behind the wall and is a lifer. He has written over two hundred poems. He says, "I decided to write poems of "Love"; Times I might never get any more. But mostly I write poems about being behind the wall and walking with Jesus Christ. I have come a long ways since the day I stepped behind these walls Dec 3, 2001. I realize everybody might not agree with my poetry then they don't have to. I write Truth, it's time, it's over time, long gone for lies. Our young people need to know the truth and our old folks need to teach it." His mother, Catherinebutterfly, is one of the poets on the site.
