Wear, Tear(Rip)

by Zamounde the Footstepper

When I was younger my father many times would scold
So yellin' don't mean nothin' no mo'
So now when I come off bold
People trip on me I'm told
But my fear a long time ago I sold
For a lil' strength
Please don't get in my face no mo'
When it's cold
I wear a coat
When it's hot
I dress cool
If it get's too deep
I'll ferry a boat
I'll never get too old
So don't say "I cannot"
Don't purposely break rules
If you're sick go to the stool
When you're ready to learn closed the books
So many lies for the truth are mistook

When I was younger my father many times would scold
So yellin' don't mean nothin' no mo'
So when I come off bold
Just pull to the side of the road
Fix your flat
Find out where you're really at
And you'll see
That we are one in the same
With different names
A different piece in the game
Held back by the same hands
Making the same demands
You take the left
And I'll get the other
Then it'll be all right
For me to drop my shield
That I wear
And players tear
At my sista's & brotha's
Our father equally scolds
The same as the otha'
By my mother I'm told
