Life Feathers

by Zamounde the Footstepper

Our wings are short of feathers
The main bird
Kicked to the curb
Cannot take flight alone

Our feathers are scattered around the world
If we got together
We could leave this planet
Soar back to redevelop
What we lost and now take for granted

Packaged in our minds and sterile
Are the key ingredients to a new life
That if opened would create a powerful whirl
To cleanse ourselves of the dinginess and strife

In a giant bird bath
Poetical math
Musically staffed
A new world we could make
>From the strongest quill of mankind
With no lives at stake
To unite the hemispheres of the mind

If we got together
Little things wouldn't matter
If we helped each other
The ignorant couldn't scatter
The feathers of life
