Enough

by Zamounde the Footstepper

Hot high-tech madness
Rich off your gladness
Sit on the porch and chill
Forget the pill
Simplicity is life
Cool as a glass of water
Complexed but simple in nature
                         We don't need to be
nomenclator's

Enslaved by what is
At the expense of yesterday
Sweat shops
Crooked cops
This has got to stop
Payless
Walmart
Rusting grocery carts
Everybody's looking for a discount

TV guided
Soap opera sided
High ranking hypocrisy
Low pole
Prison role
                        Human indecency

The young/old rest less
Jammed frequencies
Internetically robbed
The future throbs
                         A new frontier

With traps laced
Cookies and dry links
On the edge of insanity with no drinks
                        I ain't got no milk

To wash down the Oprahs and Jerry's
That bring to light the sick from the dairy's
of a new age human dilemna
                        That's all too often scary

Sexual perplexual
Racial conflictual
Momma's doing whatever's
Street punks too clever
                        Tune in you should never

Open your eyes under dirty water
Cheer at the expense of the slaugther
Answer the phone without knowing who’s calling
Order delivery service items
Without looking
to quick to take a bite

Of life changed a thousand times
and still falling
Delayed like hot food in a box
Funky feet inside a sock
Hit with a jagged rock
Too many skunks
                           "Stop!"
Breathing life through a straw
