Wet Dreams |
by Carol Elizabeth Owens |
Beside the water's edge
I knelt
Pondering the parameters
of existence
There, closing my eyes
I saw
images of absent boundaries
in the distance
Memories of the future
look like dreams
in the past
when they visit
me now,
when they visit me - now
Beside the water's edge
I knelt
beneath the sunshine
of tomorrow
There, with my thoughts
was release
from boundaries
self-imposed up close
Illusions of the past
vanish as mist
in the future
when they visit
me now,
when they visit me - now
