spent many nights searching
and wishing on stars.
thoughts are interrupted
as I hear you approaching
from afar. you heart is heavy
as you sing a song filled
with grief 'God's gonna make
it all right, Mr. Devil you'll
see!' searching for a meaning
I stop and listen to your
plea, asking God to forgive you
and telling the Devil to set you
free. you've been used and taken
advantage of now you want your life
back but never will you succeed in
fighting off the Devil because strength
is what you lack. as you finish your
praise to the Heavenly Father above
you prepare for your nightly rest.
you're reminded that even though
your a woman of God it is life that
has you at your best. as I creep into
your room with eyes placed upon
your weary feet tears fill my
eyes because I know that life
has you beat. as I spend another
night searching I worry for my
Earth for her time is cutting
close and mine is just beginning.
still I search for the answers
to questions in a pattern that
has no ending.
