Blue Moon

by Victor A. Young

My heart is full as the new Blue moon.
My blood has the rhythm and the tune.
It has craters and canyons in the face.
Held hostage as a second class race.

Reparations, Reparations, I say unto you.
Nay say, Nay say, Enjoy the Blue.

What more may you steal from me.
All that is left is freedom you see.
Education is said to have the key.
The key is to equality you see.
Whom I ask is the owner of the story?

Reparation, Reparation, I say unto you.
Nay say, Nay say, Enjoy the Blue.

When will this cycle ever, ever, end?
Who's is the will that will truly bend?
Who's to know exactly for sure.
Who's to say what's true and pure.

Reparations, Reparation, I say unto you.
Nay say, Nay say, Enjoy the Blue
