Her eyes were watching GOD
As the piano played in the distant
Melancholy bliss was the song for the day
She reminisced of her lost lover
And how he slipped away
Their passion was sweeter
Than grapes from the vine
But somehow it all turned bitter
Tainted by a masquerade
And like blue jeans
Their love began to fade
Still heart songs play out in vivid detail
If it was meant to be
Then love must prevail
She decides to let go
Maybe one day it will return
Until that time
A lesson she has learned
Still not afraid
To give love
Just scared to receive
Someone has to convince her
Make her believe
Could I be the one
She can confide in
See truth
When her heart may be lying
See tears
When sheís not crying
I intend to be
Baby youíre a part of me
And my love is free
Itís yours for the taking
And Iíll be here
Patiently waiting
Until you decide
To put aside your pride
Lets take this ride
Through life together
Comfort you on cold nights
Like your favorite sweater
Walk through waterfalls
Make love by the moon
As the wind sings
Our favorite tune
Are you willing to receive
This air that I breathe
Iím asking you
Do you believe
