Just Think

by Sheryl Renee' Talley

The next time you're alone
or on the level brink,
Can this happen to me?
Just Think, Just Think.
We often take for granted
with each and every breath,
It's an automatic response
until there's no oxygen left.
I learn to crawl
and then I walk,
Now I sit motionless,
unable to hear or talk.
It should have never happened this way
I was healthy, young, and bold.
I was popular amongst all my friends
but now they treat me so cold.
Please, someone stop and see
bring me a smile or just a drink
I forgot, I'm all alone now
Just Think, Just Think.
