well it’s about time dat I be startin,
a poem about MALCOLM and MARTIN!
1 was from the north the other from the south
and both changed a nation by words of their mouths!

MALCOLM told AMERICA about her sins of commission,
MARTIN told AMERICA about her sins of omission.
MALCOLM was very suspicious of powerless INTEGRATION, 
MARTIN was very determined 2 tear down the edifice of SEGREGATION!

MARTIN has been recorded as a SAINT, while MALCOLM comes across as sinister,
but both were used mightily by the LORD 4 both men u see were ministers!
u can not always trust what u read and the reports of the MASS MEDIA,
sometimes the information we receive comes from manipulated encyclopedias!

MALCOLM made us take pride and 2 be proud of being BLACK,
MARTIN showed AMERICA that it suffered from Moral LACK!
both men fought 4 the same thing their CAUSE was surely DIVINE!
both never lived 2 see the age of 40, they were gunned-down at 39!

I write this as a tribute to, 2 of my hero’s who taught me a valuable lesson,
that we must always fight 4 JUSTICE and against the ENORMITY of OPPRESSION!
