My White Woman

by Nigel S. Daring

Walking down the street arm in arm with her, pride beams on my face

I’ve got heaven on earth; I’ve made it in life

The dude they said would amount to nothing just proved them wrong

I reached; I’m there

Just cause I’ve got my white woman

I’m an educated black man, a big star

Worked hard to the bone, fought many fights

Dreamed many-a-nights about my white woman

Dreams come true

Just cause I’ve got my white woman

Was born and grown in a Black neighborhood,

couldn’t find a good woman there

I’ve got nothing against a sister;

just happened by chance I didn’t fall in love with one

Seems I couldn’t be in love, ‘till one day I ventured out of the hood

And I saw her, love at first sight

I ain't lettin’ go of her; I’m in paradise

Just cause I’ve got my white woman

Ooh boy, you wouldn’t understand the feeling,

Running my hands through her wavy blond her,

just like white dudes in the movies

My Black skin pressing against her soft white body

This muscular husk against a gentle frame;

not hurting her, no definitely not hurting her

I wouldn’t hurt my white woman, I’ve come too far

I conquered it all; I stand tall

Just cause I’ve got my white woman

Her parents don’t like me just cause I’m Black

She ain’t prejudice though, she tells me so

And I know if I weren’t rich and famous,

she would’ve gone for me, just like she’s doing now

Cause that’s just the kinda person she is, that’s my baby

That’s my white woman

White men reject her, say she ain’t cute

Maybe she’s not, but she’s a woman (the woman) of my dreams

I’m proud of who she is inside

If you get to know her, you would love her too

She is a good person really

That’s my white woman

I love my white woman

Don’t want no other, I’m at the top of the ladder

Just cause I’ve got my white woman
