Children Playing

by Nigel S. Daring

Children playing in the yard
Innocently playing, thinking nothing, but enjoying their playing
Look at them; they are of different races
Their minds haven’t been penetrated by society yet

When they grow, their playmates they’ll hate
For no reason other than their birth race
They will try to discriminate
They will try to dominate

Look at their innocent faces
How could society have the heart to convert them?
How could it make enemies of friends?
Children should be teaching adults about being friends,
instead of adults corrupting them
