      On stage, they set-off a certain
             Look of getting ready to throw down
                    The limelight of an audience sustained
                           With the natural stimulants of vibing

Inebriated by the melodramatic tones
      On the quarter note, half ~ whole
             Which way will it go next
                    Elated by the conceivable flow
                           In which engages an, on ~ off rhythmic brisk

They played on and on, and on
      The quench of an unforgettable thirst
            Ahh soothing…refreshing hmmm.
                    What would I do without the cultural taste
                           Of an urban jazz band
