By Faith It Is Given

Sleepless nights, stressful days, how is one to maintain?
There are decisions to be made; there are bills to be paid.
Morning comes but swiftly seeking the pitch black
as night soon falls robbing us of the beauty of the sun its rays and all.
Where does it all go? Where will it come from? What is the answer?
By faith it is given.

We ask for opportunities for blessings and for things.
We know not what grief, stress and anxiety this sometimes brings.
Let's keep up with the Jones'; let's have the biggest and the best.
It doesn't matter that in exchange you have given up your peaceful rest.
How do we escape this madness? What do we do? What is the answer?
By faith it is given.

Are you willing to sell your soul for success, fortune and fame?
Don't you have the slightest clue that God plans to bless you all the same?
It is not necessary to go against your morals, ethics, and gut feelings.
Why bother to race to experience conflict, disharmony
and have your soul and heart reeling.
How does one avoid this? Which way do we go? What is the answer?
By faith it is given.

So, you say the solution, the answer to all of this unending stress,
is to back up, leave it alone, and allow God to put forth his test.
We interfere as humans, thinking we have it all figured out.
When in reality, we are clueless and helpless lest we praise and shout.
You know how to avoid this. You know which way to go. You now know the answer.
By faith it is given.
