We are people who feel much but say little.
We are people who love beyond measure.
Our love seems hidden because we are afraid to express it
because we are well aware that some will take
the beauty of that expression and seek to exploit it,
restrict it and turn it into something that it's not.
We are people who look at love by the moment
and feel its presence as it stands at the doors of our hearts
yearning to be shared that it may grow and blossom
to do its work of healing, helping, giving,
laughing, touching and transcending...
but, as its guardian, we guard it fiercely
because we know the value of its purity;
of its serenity: of its majestic power
to do what no doctor, philosopher or mediator can do.
When it is given, it is given freely;
at no thought of consequence or cost.
When love has performed the work of GOD,
its own reward is perfected
(a smile, a thank you, a hug, an expression of relief...a tear).
