Day dreaming of things in the past, wasted time,
A life out of rhyme,
Day dreaming of days gone by, things said in anger,
Always not on time,
Day dreaming of loves lost, loves gained, storms and rains,
Thinking of happy moments, forbidden thoughts,
And a life filled with pain,
Thinking of my Mom and Dad, fights we had,
Tears that were shed,
Thinking of days in the park, walks after dark,
lying in bed,
Thinking of how it might have been, if we could do it all again,
Free from sin,
Hoping that we're given the time to set things right,
To walk in God's goodness,
And live in the mercy of his light.
