The trouble with us....
is that notion of fitting in
The status quo is what we consider.....a win
And the loser is the one going in the opposite direction
Just because they seemed to have failed your inspection
They become yesterdays news
because of your constant change of views
When fads are 'Gone in sixty seconds'
And our eyes are wide shut
As we stare into infinity
hoping for divinity....through the promise of salvation
by oh! so many religious stations
We chew tragedy
and swallow violence
in our digestion of CNN
Then we vomit destruction and hatred
on our small group of friends
Commercialization leads the trend
And in it's jargon we spend
Not seeing that - dreads are overrated
FUBU is understated
Cell phones are a pain in my ASS
And sunglasses at night, I think I'll pass
Gold and silver teeth........
what the fuck are you thinking?!!!!!
And rappers who think they can sing....
damn this boat is sinking....fast
Commercials are too simplistic
People by far, are not realistic
Especially if we are still trying to keep up with the Jones'
Who the fuck are the Jones'?
And where do they live?
