Preachers and Politics (Two)

by Catherinebutterfly

Preaching, preachers,pastors and politics
my folks believes it does not mix.
but I know that by the devil they've tricked.
Yep Godís Kingdom come would have been spread
And millions would have known the truth had it been said.
Might even have killed the devil with truth
But that old devil locked the mouth when he locked the brain of
My folk by telling them itís ashamed to kill their enemy
And preachers donít touch politics.
What a trick. Give the glory to the devil, cause God
Wasnít in it. God donít play trick.
When God folks,
Righteous folks stepped in the game.
Taking Godís word in vain.
I can hear that old devil laughing some furiously
Real tears, streaming from his eyes after
Convincing my folks of all those lies.

Power in the tongue screamed slavery
These are the words Shot out of old Lynches mouth
Spread the word throughout the Masterís house
While my folks sit humbly and ignorantly by
Crying and weeping real tears, of pain and hurt
God Sent some body here, sent somebody by here
Lard please donít pass me by.
Freedom, flew into the wind
Poverty stayed in
Wealth slipped by
Families parted left the hearts unguarded
As my folks preached and taught
Love them theyíre your brothers,
Your mother and your sisters
And definitely your fathers,
While they slaughter us, raped us, impregnated us,
Abused us, used us, and misused us.
We was taught to love them
Not killed them
Be grateful to them.
