Our Love's Hymn

by B.T. Bonner

I woke up this morning
and you were still beside me
I was moved by the sight
of your curve and line under my sheets
sketched like a perfect picture
drawn just for me
I stared at my present and my future
and remembered our last night
Two wandering spirits sharing the same place
at the same time
the intoxicating softness of your skin
tangled inside of mine
fine-tuned and crafted into a perfect angle
fused by the warmth of your breathe
against my chest
and your tender moans rising beneath me
as you call out my name in a ballet of song
and we dance .....
I exist in the day time
driven by images of you last night
thoughts of your hair blowing in the wind
like black waves rippling though the ocean
on a breezy day in March
I listen to your eyes
and hear the sound of our Love's hymn....
