On Stupidity |
by Donald R. Barbera |
Men move to civilization gradually and in stages out of necessity; some have not progressed beyond Cro-Magnon man. We have killed all of our teachers. We have buried our mistakes. No good deed has been left unpunished. Even when we seek the higher life there are legions of naysayers and negativists. There is a documented history of stupidity in on the shelves of most modern libraries and it is filled with the idiocy of mankind. To everyone who would say yes to the paths of knowledge and understanding there are legions who would say no, simply because they hadn’t thought of it first. In a world where people starve to death every day and on those same days people leave tons of food uneaten and wasted, it is clear to see the world’s focus. |
